Favorites

I was going through the thousands of pictures I have taken over the last two and a half years and thought I would share some of my favorites. I have so many favorites that if I were to put them all on here it would take several hours! Some of the pictures are my favorite, not because the picture turned out really well, but more because of the day, or event or just simply the fact that it shows Kassi's true personality. I am so blessed to have the wonderful family that I do.

This is one I just took at the playground. She is getting so big. She didn't want help.

Fishing has become one of her favorite things.

My little princess.

Isn't this just the sweetest picture!

That's my girl. She figured out if you just sit down you can pick way more of pinata goodies.

First time fishing.

I love this picture. No real significance, I just love how Wes is concentrating on Kassi and the smile on her face.

She really wants to follow in her daddy's footsteps.

I don't think this one needs a caption.

She loves bugs...she is picking up ants.

Sleeping beauty!

Nothing compares to chocolate!

She had a lot of fun plying in the snow for the first time.

This was a fun day.

Nothing like that first piece of cake.

You can just see how much she admires her old dog.
That's my girl!
This was a very special day for us...
Have you ever seen a baby so happy all the time? I sure have.
Wes took this picture one day when he stayed home with Kassi.
Not only is this her first motorcycle jersey it is also the morning she woke up with her first two teeth.
What can I say I just love it.
So adorable.

Just another favorite.

The first picture I sent out.

I know as a picture it is not very good, but this is the first picture of the three of us together as a family! My absolute favorite picture. I don't care that I am wiping the tears from my eyes or that the lighting is horrible. It's still my favorite.

Spring

It is definitely spring! Here is some proof...puppies, flowers and bunnies!

Well this should be the litter our "Nina" comes from. We haven't heard from the breeder yet to be certain, but this is the litter we had discussed. If so she will be coming home in June.

These are the blossoms on our cherry bush. I have never seen it have so many. Almost every branch has this many blossoms on it. Too bad we live in Wyoming where it will freeze within the next couple of weeks and kill all of the blossoms and we only end up with a few cherries.

This little one lives right outside the window at my desk at work. There are a few of them in the nest this year. Each year we have a few litters of them right there. I love that I can be working on the computer and look right out and see them.

Beautiful Day

Today was finally nice enough for us to go to the park for awhile. Kassi wanted to go and play on the merry go round so we packed up first thing this morning and walked down to one of the parks near our house. While I really miss living in the country, I do love we can walk to two parks, one of which is only a couple of blocks away.

I can't believe how much Kassi has grown since last summer. I was just looking back at some of the updates from this time last year.

This morning we were talking about the seasons and that now is spring and she said that means summer is almost here. She always amazes me with what she knows.

Easter Pictures

First Barbie

Kassi bought her first Barbie the other day. I guess it is not an actual "Barbie" it is a Disney Princess that sure does resemble a Barbie. Either way she thinks it is pretty neat and has lots of little pieces that go along with it, including a hair dryer, brush, flower, teddy bear. We have had one piece go missing, the little phone, other than that she has been pretty good about picking up all of the little tiny pieces and putting them away.

So many things...

I had hoped to post lots of Kassi's Easter pictures...but it appears that will not be happening tonight. On Tuesday night we got the dreaded "blue screen of death" on our netbook. Unfortunately this was the second time we have gotten it and this time it is not recoverable. I want to be mad at the computer because it is only a little over a year old, but it is hard to be mad when I think of how we used it. Due to it's convenient size it often got held sideways, on the couch cushions or in other locations where it got very hot, Kassi used it s much as we did to play games and watch movies and let's face it no computer is "toddler proof". So as we lay the wonderful little netbook to rest I begin adapting to the beautiful wide screen on the new laptop. While I love the wide screen and the DVD burner I very much so miss my card reader and little tiny computer. We probably should have just spent the little extra money on the one with the card reader built in, but no my cheap inner self says, "you have an external card reader at home, don't bother" so tonight my hopes of loading pictures for everyone to see are diminished when I realize my old card reader is just not good enough to read my 4GB card! So tonight I will just type. I promise I will get pictures loaded, I just may not deal with it tonight!

Kassi has gone through an incredible growth spurt the last month. There was one point where she grew a 1/2 inch in only nine days. The hard part is her body has gotten so long, as have her arms that her little stubby legs and feet are having a hard time keeping up. Due to the recent growth spurt I am having to do a closet clean out/update. At this time there is everything from a size 3T to a size 5, no that is not a typo a size 5. Now some of this is because her body and arms are much longer than clothes for a 3T while her short little legs and skinnier waist require the 3T pants, which we are still rolling up. I was going to post picture of her closet. It is incredible how many clothes this little girl has. The last count I did there were 39 pairs of pants in her closet, remember too that she has a full wardrobe at Grandma and Grandpas as well. We are so thankful to the McKinney family and their hand-me-downs and also thankful to the Shepard family for taking our hand-me-downs once Kassi is done with them. Even though she has been given a full wardrobe I still find myself drawn to buying the adorable little girl clothes we find everywhere. I hate to shop for myself, but I love to shop for Kassi. Little girls are so much fun.

We are planning on taking Kassi to the circus on Saturday. I am not going into this with very high expectations I figure at 2.5 if she sits through 30 minutes of it we will be lucky. She says she is excited to go one day and then the next she will say that she doesn't want to go so who knows if we will even make it in the doors. I did get us tickets near the doors just in case.

Wes passed two more of his ASE tests this winter and is down to one more Fire Officer class. I am so proud of him. As always things remain the same with me. My asthma has been very uncontrolled for the last several months, but now that I have finally gotten our insurance company to begin counting one of my more expensive prescriptions towards my deductible I am able to start back on my daily asthma meds and hopefully will have it back under control before spring really hits.
