Weekend Fun

So far we have had a great weekend, full of fun! I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
Friday Kassi made her daddy so proud. She asked if she could sit on her motorcycle. As I've said before this scares me, but she seems to love the cycles...

We also spent some time at Relay For Life on Friday night. Each year the Fire Department cooks burgers, hot dogs etc for this event. Kassi saw Michaela walking and all she could say was "Kayla walk, baby" so she made about a lap and a half walking, two laps being carried by Michaela and a couple of laps in her stroller. Boy did I feel like chopped liver, she didn't even want me to walk with her. She wanted to walk with "Kayla, Nee and Troy". She did keep checking though to make sure I was behind them. Once she got done with her laps it was getting really late, matter of fact that was the latest she has ever been up. After a hot dog, some watermelon and some carrots we headed home. I had put her in clothes she could sleep in thinking she would fall asleep up there and we could just put her into bed. She didn't though, she hung in there until we got home, but once we walked in she grabbed her pillow, laid down, said "night, night" and she was out.

Today we drained some of the water in her pool. This left it low enough she could easily walk around it. I think if she was able to she would stay in the water all day everyday. We ended the day with an ice cream cone and a movie. Once she snuggled up on my lap she fell right asleep.

Seeking Potty Training Help!

Okay so I have a potty training dilemma. So when Kassi is with me she is close to 90% potty trained, I say 90% because if she is really busy playing and distracted we may end up with a wet pull up and she has only stayed dry through the night two times, but I've only had to change two poopy diapers in the last several months. Now when Kassi is with Grandma or just with Wes she refuses to let them know when she needs to go and usually refuses to go in and sit on the potty for them.

I am at a loss. Part of me thinks that she is not completely ready and doesn't have a lot of control yet. She does tell me when she needs to go, but I do also tell her let's go use the potty, which Wes and Grandma do as well. When they say it though she often times will throw a fit and not even go into the bathroom. I really don't know what to do. I don't know what I do that is so much different. So any advice out there?

July 3rd and 4th

We had a big weekend!

Kassi got to ride in the parade again this year, as she will for many more years. She had a lot of fun waving at all the people. About half the way through the parade I looked back and asked her if she was going to wave at all the people anymore and she said "yuck" and put her hands up behind her head.

On the 4th we decided just to watch the parade and she danced and clapped. We only made it through about half of it, but she was such a good girl. Then we went and watched the Fire Department raise their big flag at the Stampede. Kassi had fun watching the horses and waving to her daddy across the arena.
Waiting to go in the parade.
Enough waiting, let's get going!
Done waving, time to rest.
Visiting her little boyfriend, Rory Reiter.
Sitting with Michaela.
With Bryan and Rory.
Sweet little kisses.
Driving Engine 2, watch out guys she's only got 19 more years.
