Portraits

Here are a few of the new portraits for this year. She had to tell the lady what color of background she wanted. They ended up compromising on the green with fuzzy flowers, as Kassi just wanted the florescent green.
The prints should be in next week and we will get them sent out to everyone!

Family Update

It's quiet in my house tonight. Kas is sound asleep, no naps mean early bed times, Wes is visiting his dad and I should be cleaning or doing something more productive...

We just went and had our family portrait and Kas' portraits taken. I love that Kas' smile is always so big.

Kas has become a little girl. She talks in full sentences and corrects people if their grammar is not correct. This is really funny to watch and listen to especially since she is only 27 months. She loves her cousins and talks about them all the time. She says that her Jack and Uncle Casey are her friends and she misses them. Whenever she decides she doesn't want to wear something anymore she now tells me that it is too small and she needs to give it to Avery.

Wes' new puppy should be born very soon. Kassi has already named her Nina. She started with Movers, and I explained that the puppy would be a girl so of course then it was Nina. I told Wes she might forget and then he could name her, but I don't think that is going to happen and he being the daddy he is says its just fine to call his puppy whatever his angel wants.

Our poor old Daisey dog is starting to loose her hearing some too. I feel so bad for her. Her eyesight is completely gone, but there are days when she is still as spry as a pup. Today her and Kas were playing and she was jumping around and being crazy. The fish are still alive so is the frog and crab, woohoo, almost one year! Now Kas has decided she wants a toad. This is a venture we haven't committed to yet...

Wes is Rookie Trainer for the Fire Department again this year. He is still taking his classes to become a Fire Officer. He has passed one more of his ASE tests and will be taking more this year. I am so proud of him for all of his accomplishments.

As for me nothing new. I love my family and am so thankful and blessed.

Sledding

We actually had enough snow with warm enough weather to get out of the house and take Kassi sledding. She loved it. It has been several months since she has taken a good nap, most days she doesn't take one at all, but this day she slept for over three hours. Sledding is hard work, even if you are just riding in the sled!

Christmas

Christmas was so much fun! It took Kassi 2.5 hours to open her presents, and it wasn't because there were just too many. Okay, so there were a lot Santa went a little overboard this year... The main reason it took so long though was she would open one and want to play with it and not open anymore. We could have spread Christmas out over several days! Here are just a few pictures from the weekend.

The best part was we got to spend five days at home together. That makes it really hard to want to go back to work...
